The Academic Aspects:
- Placement of students in class:
- Students are placed in class according to their academic attainment and not age.
- Students are placed in sections such that all sections of the same class have equal grade averages, so that academic progress can be monitored and measured accordingly.
As a result:- Students and parents do not have a choice of section.
- Students are sometimes moved from one section to another. Such regrouping takes place purely for academic reasons.
- Students' Academic Status:
Feedback obtained from the students throughout the years (mainly by testing) is used to determine at the end of the year whether a student is to be promoted to the next higher class, to attend and pass a summer course, to pass make up exams or to repeat the same class.
Parents receive three reports per year, one at the end of each term. The third report will include information related to promotion. When more information is required about students, an appointment should be arranged with the Director.
